Before starting to explain my ideas about Google Glass, I wanted to share some funny cartoons about it.
I personally would like to briefly analyze the possible effects of Google Glass on our behavior. In order to discuss its potential results, we should first determine our current situation. I believe virtual environment including social media, smart phones etc. takes part in most of our every day life today. Moreover, I would say, if the virtual and real life constitute 40% and 60% of our time, this is mainly because of the obligations. For example, you still cannot eat virtually. So, if we think of our lives, the face-to-face contact is gradually dying out. I am 24 years old and if I can realize the change, older people can see it more easily. Thus, we communicate with each other in person less than before and it is getting lesser and lesser.
Well, I will not say spending more time on virtual environment is good or bad because I know that we all have one desire in common and this is being happy. And if someone is happier on Internet, he/she should spend his/her time there. That's how I think about this issue. I personally like reality more and I will try to keep myself on real world.
So, the question is if this new technology will force us to use it as it does for smart phones and are we going to be able to stay in real life if we like that more?
